What is FFP2?

 This is an abbreviation for Full Face Fit Pro 2. It is a European standard for testing and evaluating ventilation and filtering masks. These masks protect the mouth, nose, and chin from particles that could be inhaled. In addition to protection, they provide an excellent facial appearance, since most of the masks have very flat surfaces, and lines do not even need a hairline to hide.

 

FFP2 vs FFP3

When it comes to what is FFP2 and what is FFP3 respirators, there are many differences between these two classifications. A pure face mask, or FFP, is a more affordable and efficient choice than the more expensive full-face respirator, or FHR. FFPs are recommended for individuals working with dust and debris, as well as people who are exposed to high levels of dust, chemical fumes and other irritants, such as car exhaust. However, while respiratory protection is provided, FFP2 respirators are less effective at removing airborne particles than FFP3 respirators.

 

In addition to what is FFP2, there are also European standards of review for these masks, known as the Eurocare brand. One of the most important criteria is the NIOSH rating of the respirator. The highest Niosh rating for a disposable face mask is 0.afe, which means that any particles that enter the lungs will be removed completely. Typically, the lower the Niosh rating, the better the performance. For what is FFP2, these masks meet both the low Niosh and high NIOSH standards, so they are considered one of the most effective filtration systems available for workplaces. For what is FHR, or a high-performance fine dust respirator, there is no specific rating, but many professional dentists and dental hygienists will recommend this type of respirator for their patients, due to its ability to filter out fine dust.
