When Creating Resume Template

When creating resumes with Word, keep in mind that some companies do not accept Word resumes anymore. If you want to submit your resume to such a company, you should format your resume with another program, such as PowerPoint. This will ensure that the resume fits in with the rest of the documents sent out. If you can upload your resume to their system, you will be able to add your references, personal information, and a bit of your work history. If there is a particular aspect of your job that you wish to emphasize, you should do so in your resume, making sure that the resume template includes this too.

There are several places where you can find resume templates that other people have made. You can browse through the internet or go to your favorite office supply store. No matter where you choose to look, however, keep in mind that many of the available templates will be very plain and boring. It would be far better to pick a resume template that is creative and full of colors and fonts.
